1. What is the Transportation Safety Resource Center?
The Transportation Safety Resource Center (TSRC) is one of many programs at the Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation (CAIT), a USDOT University Transportation Center. TSRC\'s services include engineering, education, and outreach aimed at improving transportation safety for all modes; we do research on transportation safety for local agencies, MPO\'s, and the DOT; also, the TSRC has been developing a crash data analysis program for NJDOT called Plan4Safety that has been released for PC use and soon for the web. This program allows users to filter through all the crash data in the state of New Jersey by any variable on the NJTR-1 Police Crash report, has functions to search for crash corridors and clusters, can do frequency analyses on crash types, and can map crash occurances on GIS.
If you have any questions regarding the TSRC, feel free to contact Sarah Weissman.
